Enliven Summer Hydration Challenge Winners AnnouncedAugust 13, 2020 -
While drinking water provides both physical and mental benefits, such as making us feel better and removing toxins from our bodies, the CDC reports that 43% of adults drink less than four cups of water a day and 7% drink none.
To raise awareness of the importance of proper hydration, Enliven recently conducted a four-week Pump Up the Volume Summer Hydration Challenge, which concluded Sunday, Aug. 9.
“Proper hydration is just another example of a healthy habit we can focus on and incorporate into our daily routines,” said Frank Antonie, senior vice president, Field Operations. “I’m glad I participated in this challenge, as it really made me cognizant of how much water I was consuming each day.”
Each participant set a reasonable goal based on their individual needs* and competed by division for the chance to win fun, summer prizes, including a Bose Bluetooth speaker, lawn loveseat, cornhole set with LED lights and shaved ice maker.
Weekly winners included:
- Corporate Division:
- Andrew Fleck, Diana McLeod, Amy Stradone and Jonathan Morris
- North Division:
- Roger “Blake” Metcalf, Mike Hodge, Robert Young and Eric Kirby
- South Division:
- Charles Harding, Al Satterfield, Gwen Lambert and Brandon Ivey
- West Division:
- Jeremy Bowers, Chad Etheredge, Koby King and Michael Mitchell
Additionally, participants who met their weekly goal for all four weeks of the challenge and submitted their Chug Reports on time were entered into a drawing for our grand prize package, which included a YETI haul cooler, GoPro HERO 8 and Rubber Dockie floating water mat. We are excited to announce that Jeff Manous, O&M Leader, Clearlake Plant is our grand prize winner and the ultimate water-chugging champion!
As we find ourselves at the end of another Enliven initiative, we hope participants found the hydration challenge both beneficial and rewarding. Keep an eye out for the announcement of our next Enliven challenge, as we continue to work to improve our overall wellbeing through physical, emotional and financial strategies.

If you are unaware of what a healthy goal should be for your condition, please consult with your physician prior to beginning the challenge.
